Does RevoStock write back to Shopify (e.g. inventory updates)?

No. RevoStock is entirely read-only with respect to your Shopify store. It pulls data to power forecasts and reorder suggestions, but nothing it calculates is ever pushed back into Shopify.

What RevoStock reads from Shopify

RevoStock syncs the following data from your store:

  • Products and variants — titles, SKUs, vendor, inventory levels, and tracking settings.
  • Orders — historical order lines used to compute sales velocity and train forecasts.
  • Inventory adjustments — on-hand quantities kept up to date via hourly syncs.

The only webhook RevoStock subscribes to is ORDERS_DELETE, so if an order is deleted in Shopify it doesn't linger in your forecast history. No other write-back or webhook subscription exists.

What RevoStock doesn't do

  • It does not adjust inventory quantities in Shopify.
  • It does not create or send purchase orders through Shopify.
  • It does not modify, cancel, or fulfil orders.
  • It does not tag products or change any product fields.

Where reorder suggestions go

When the Buying Table flags a SKU for reorder, the suggested quantity lives only inside RevoStock. To act on it, export the restock cart as a CSV or PDF and import that file into your existing purchasing or ERP system. Nothing leaves RevoStock automatically.
